Pillory

The most ridiculous of the spam comments will be posted here without their home-pages.

“Wohh precisely what I was searching for, thank you for putting up.”

In response to Monatian: Phonology

And if it was precisely that for which you searched, then you must have literally read my mind and translated it from the concept-thought it was to language. <sarcasm>So there are psychics with power over electronic communication! Somehow, this one lives in the UK, never met me in person, and manages to understand what I am thinking even when I am compared to a Blank from that quasi-literally infernal game set in the distant future!</sarcasm>

I enjoy you because of all your effort on this web site. Gloria loves making time for internet research and it is obvious why. Almost all notice all regarding the powerful method you give both interesting and useful thoughts on the blog and even cause participation from people on the theme while our own girl is in fact discovering a lot of things. Enjoy the rest of the new year. You’re the one doing a wonderful job.

In response to Compact Edition/”Millifiche”

A Polish computer (ah, poor enslaved one) sends yet another spam comment to the infamous page. You spambots seem to like that page. No doubt this Gloria would have been terrified by the blatantly vile and filthy website you advertised. How dare you even try to advertise such a site on my blog, especially with the cynical post about adolescents behaving like you!

  1. Kevins thoughts are very stupid! You may have autism but did not get the intelligence from it…you are very average minded..and will accomplish very little in your life!

    • Amusing. This comment smells of advertising, especially with the website reported. But it gives me something to dissect. For those who wish to know, this fellow is from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA and has a DSL connection by the apparently defunct Embarq Corporation, which is now probably Century Link. Oddly enough, the IP address it owns is on the ircproxy spam list.

      “Kevins thoughts are very stupid!”
You forgot an apostrophe, if that helps, which I somehow doubt it will. Instead of declaring this, why not cite what is, “very stupid?” Vague, angry criticisms will be interpreted as negative (and hanged, drawn, quartered, and pilloried, as is done with amusing spam).

“You may have autism but did not get the intelligence from it”
Did you know that, however mean it may seem, the DSM-IV reports that Autistic Disorder is correlated with higher chances of mental retardation from the general tests? Somehow, you seem to have the idea that it is not a disability. Of course, this is partly due to the representation in the media.

      “…you are very average minded…”
Do most adolescents use Latin (and Dog Latin) as much as I do? Do they construct whole worlds simply for the fun of it? Do they contemplate much at all? Have most even heard of UGene? Do most of them carry backpacks thicker than their torsos and heavier than their skulls? I may be under or I may be above average, but I am not just average, and previous arguments with students studying statistics have shown that I am an outlier too frequently.

“and will accomplish very little in your life!”
What is it with phony psychics visiting my site anyway? I would like to know what will happen in exactly forty years after your comment.

A cursory search on the internet indicates that it is affiliated with the Millennium Party, which I criticized recently in a now-locked thread on Wrong Planet. Note the unusually low post count for someone who has been on the fora for as long as it has been and the unusual attention to promoting its cause.I presume this attack was an attempt at revenge. You can probably find the thread where I criticized it here: http://cdn.wrongplanet.net/postt186681.html

Another search yielded a Facebook result that linked to the Millennium Party site. Apparently, he has an interest in various but commonly cited singers, cites three conflicting (two if origins are considered) books of three very different faiths in addition to Plato’s /Republic/, cites Mr. Spielberg as a movie along with /2012/, has three television shows of which I know nothing, and two board games of rather different styles. For its own sake, I hope it did not publish its real name, because it openly declared being fined by the police multiple times out of what seems to be a certain arrogance and disrespect for the rules.

Should you ever visit this site again (which you probably will, if only to see my [sarcasm]flaming response[/sarcasm]), remember that anger clouds judgment (and causes backfire) and that you should try picking on more tractable targets closer to your level of understanding.
